Finally...the expressway. Have 20 minutes before i am officially late. Hope Angela will be later than me then. *snigger* haha. it will probably take an hour for me to crawl over that overhead bridge later, with my current energy level at an all time low. Can energy levels be negative? cos i only recall change in energy can be negative.

How i wish i was some virtual character on "restaurant city" - as and when my energy level hits 0%, i just collapse on the floor and raise a signboard saying "I NEED REST!"

Those spoilt things...

in any case, if my life ever should come to a halt whenever my energy level is 0%, I'd probably be mistaken for the road and get trampled or driven over. lol. so fortunately or unfortunately, life for me still goes on..

anw, after lunch with Angela, we will be gg to check out the CCA tee shirts..*checking again if i got the deposit ready*...$225...so expensive. after looking at the shirts, still need to go marketing with angela for tomorrow's steamboat...meaning more cash. haiz..

i think it is an absolute joke that the person who asked for the steamboat is not coming. haha. cos it is against his time policy to travel across singapore for a 4 hr event. Didnt bother telling him we arent in America and travelling from wherever he is, be it boon lay, is not Las Vegas to New York. It is Toa Payoh.

On the other hand, if you really wish to meet up, you would come no matter how far, isnt it? especiall since you requested it? out of courtesy? am i have a wrong mentality?

sitting in food court alone...Angela is LATE! lol.

I am soooo glad its 5 days away from my trip to Korea with grace. omg. i really am looking forward for this trip - to get outta here and keep my sanity.

just found out from my mum that our plane is scheduled to leave for Incheon at 830pm. yesh! i have time for last minute packing. and if i were to sleep late the previous nite and wake up at say, around noon, i will be able to keep awake the entire 6 hrs on the plane chionging movies. hahaha. will be sitting korean plane so hopefully its safe and the movies will have english or chinese ones.

have already planned my activities on the plane. hahha cos i am determined not to squeeze with everyone when the plane touch down for the airport toilets to wash up. so by 3am, i will wash up using the plane's toilet. and settle for touch down at 605am. although i do wonder if my eyes will burst if i put on my contacts after an entire night of movies chionging.

oh wells, i will have to put my contacts only in the air plane toilets cos THE PLANE WILL NOT ALLOW LIQUID WITH MORE THAN 100 ml ON BOARD. i wonder if anyone will actually think that the amount of liquid is useful for any purpose other than sufficient for your hamster to drink.

anw, hopefully i will be able to drag grace to wash up as well. but somehow i have sickening hunch that i will fall asleep this time on the plane. something that haven occurred to me yet. hmms..

have been researching for a complete set of places i wanna go whenever the tour lets me off its hook. am compiling it and am very excited for it. on top of that, i finally bought my Canon Ixus 100IS ... FINALLY! its the red one and thanks to my cousin's aid. i think his lifespan just shortened by explaining to me all those IT stuff to me. LOL. but THANKS GOR! love you! owe you one...hahha i think more than one actually.

grace is learning the basic korean language, and i am learning its culture and whereabouts. hopefully, together we will make a great team! hahaha

okies. turning in now. very tired. didnt do any research tonight cos someone spoilt my mood. =.=

i didnt know restaurant city can be so unbelievably addictive. turning on the applet just to watch cartoon characters walk in and out of my shop from 11pm - 219am in the morning indicates something quite disturbing about my intelligence level. and something else about my priority skills cos i have tuition at 10am the next morning.

going for another eating gathering..haha. well, it means more pictures to be uploaded on Facebook and everything else. will prob upload tonight's photos along with the past two gatherings i had.
Anw, its Pot Luck Time. i realised i got so obsessed with cooking recently, i havent baked for a very very very long time. so i offered to bake cookies and brownies for this Pot Luck...and I FAILED BIG TIME IN THE KITCHEN! =(
my brownies turned out disastrous with burnt layers on top and UNCOOKED LAYERS at the bottom! omg. how is that even possible. i know the brownies' fragrance came out faster than usual although i set it to lower temp. and it smelled bitter after 3 mins more. but bimbotic me still went ahead to let it continue bake! why? cos i didnt see the brownie start to rise yet.
so when i finally tested my brownie with the toothpick and realised it is super cooked, i frantically took it out and saw 3/4 of it black on top. yucks.
feeling dismal, i laid the brownie on the table to cool first, as if hoping a miracle to happen. i thought, please let the brownie uncook a little by itself. and IT DID! in fact, it uncooked itself so much and so unevenly, that when i cut the brownie, the brownie was NOT EVEN HALF BAKED beneath the charcoaled layer! omg. ugh ugh
feeling upset, i went to my dad's room to complain and my dad looked at me and said "did you switch the oven such that the heat is heating up from both top and bottom and not top only? cos mummy switched the oven such that it only heats the top just the other day."

OMG.

So for the benefit of future bakers and myself, please take note that before you even start to bake, ensure the oven to set to the 3rd picture and NOT THE SECOND! whatever the first means...

Anw, my second batch of brownies is baking happily in the oven, set to the correct conditions now.

as promised, i have been keeping the camera next to me, waiting for oppurtunities to snap. however, the past few outings seems to be mostly abt filling up the empty stomach and in plain terms - GORGING. oh food food, glorious food. hahaha so obviously i have been keeping the weighing machine away from me. after all, weight is nothing but a number..yes yes. *starts to chant* weight is nothing but a number...weight is nothing but a number...weight is nothing but a number...

we were at.... MANHATTEN FISH MARKET at CLARKE QUAY. hahha tot that was a giveaway actually, esp. with that last picture.

i ate the first dish in the 1st pic...cheng en ate the 2nd one and adeline, xiuxuan, carine and cynthia ordered the seafood platter in the last picture. looks yummy rite? heh heh.

this is the first time i went to mahatten actually cos i always heard pple saying that it wasnt good. never believe anyone till you try it out yourself man...its awesome. grace was telling me perhaps people compared it to Fish & Co. and liked there better. my vote between these 2 restaurants is definitely Mahatten. =)

the rest of the photos werent very clear. i think my camera is lousy in dark places and xiu xuan insist we must smell the singapore river so we had to seat outside in the dark...with the river. hahaha.

DIM SUM Outing with my Secondary School mates at FARRER PARK.

i think for 7 pple, we ate quite a lot, considering this table is only filled with partially ordered food. haha. but the food was superb as well. not too saltish and more importantly, a great atmospher to bond with friends. almost all were wiped clean out from the plates so minimal food was wasted as well. good job! hahah *pats tummy*...i mean *pats stomach*

After dinner, we went to Marina Bay cos we heard that the Flyer was having a special promotion: student price @ $10/- weets...but we forgot if it was only for weekdays. haiz...in the end it was. so being the enthusiastic and hard-up-to-sit-the-flyer people, we met up the VERY NEXT DAY. hahahahah
